hi have a veridian v200 installed 2010, we have serviced it every two years cleaning and changing s1 with no problems. this week we have had an air source heat pump fitted by octopus as we wanted rid of gas boiler, we drained it ourselves and disconnected the sensor. the pipework was removed by installer so will need replacing. we now have a joule 250l solar vertical. and now have a spare power lead which came from the old unit. there is no place for this to be connected as it has a smart immersion fitted. the old one had a solar compartment on the bottom it is linked to a fsu, no problem the sparky said it would be okay to just wire the power to the fsu and it would be fine and input the sensor into the hole in the tank dont want to get this part wrong and blow the unit. also i understand compression joints are okay as well as soft  soldier below is it possible to use braided flexible steel pipe ???? anyhow if anyone can help getting no replies from checkatrade or yellow pages no one willing to connect it have a new s1 to go.
